Handwritten on the reverse of a donated print "Ford V8 85 hp 1938 Fire Tender. Built by Colonial Motors Ltd. Ebor St. Wellington.
Delivery taken by W/O D. Jackson 1939. This machine replaced the Model T Ford which had been in service at Hobsonville since 1929. (prior to that it was at Featherston Military Camp. Aussie Blakeway has a photo of it. Ted."
