As this crew is in front of a Stirling, this places the photo at RAF Station Oakington; the squadron converted to Lancasters in late 1943. The three mentioned above are the three RNZAF in this crew. All were lost on the night of 24-25 March 1944.

Haydon's log book records Stirling BK818 as being the most commonly flown aircraft with the code letter 'O', but later in the tour EE974 also carried this letter.
