Bruce Evetts and Ross Noonan were the first D/F operators posted to Norfolk, followed by Dave Dunn, Ron Pearce and Gordon Findlay all within a few weeks of each other. The number of D/F operators on Norfolk later increased considerably following installation of a high frequency direction finding station near Steel's Point."
